Storage Direct at Woodbridge

I recently rented a storage unit for over two months. When I booked it, i was told by someone called Ingrid, that I would have free access to truck (which was the selling point or me). The day before I moved out of the unit, I get a called again from Ingrid asking me for the payment of the last 5 days, to which I told her that everything was paid for. The day I picked up my stuff the same person told me that the truck was not for free and that there was a mistake in the system and that is why she called me to ask me for the money (not even saying sorry about that). The truth is that I returned late the truck due to traffic. Ingrid and another woman in the office yelled at me that I was late, I apologized. Then when she charged my credit card I explained to her that I was told differently (she simply said that the person who offered me that was not longer working at the company, I said ... thata was you). Then she said that she was not going to argue with me, I said I am a customer and I am asking you for an explanation (my bill not clear at all)... the other woman started saying something and when I said to her (very respectfully) that I was just talking to Ingrid... she lost it, she literaly asked me to get the f.. out of there. I asked her to change the words she used because I was not using such language. She was so rude and continued cursing and yelling. Ingrid said that she was not giving me any explanations. She just picked up the phone and called the polite. I never ever had an experience like this. They could have been right about the bill but the way they treated me... it is beyong rudeness..

Maybe they're just lazy?
This place was "okay" to rent from and the ladies in the office were friendly enough, but there were ALWAYS issues when I would go to my unit. There were lights out in the hall regularly (the always-on "security" light was out for about the last 4 months when I rented there (and was still out when I left a few months ago); the side door push bar was broken the entire time I rented there (about a year and a half); and there was ALWAYS trash lying around (sometimes not a ton, but often broken glass or objects, like a side table, would sit there for weeks before moving). It was pretty frustrating really. I always mentioned these items once or twice and then would wait to see how long it took for them to pick it up; for example, the broken mirror in the grassy area stayed there for over 5 weeks before most of it was picked up.

Big Improvement!
I've noticed a huge improvement over the past several months in the overall appearance of the property and the new staff. The office area is cleaner and looks more professional than it did before. The new manager and staff were very helpful by offering me one month free if I paid for 6 months up front.

Great Help During a Difficult Time
I decided to try out Storage Direct today because they are so close to my home. I wasn't sure what to expect because I've never used storage before. Luckily Diane and Jamie helped me through the rental process and made it very easy. Jamie showed me the unit (since I had no idea what I needed) and Diane was able to explain the rental agreement to me so I could understand what I was signing. Afterwards, Jamie walked me down to my unit to show me where it was and offered me the moving carts to help with getting my things in the unit. The girls there really made this difficult transition much easier.

Thanks for Your Help
I came across this site needing storage for our move and saw that there were some people who complained about Storage Direct here in Woodbridge. I decided to take a chance and see what they were about. Honestly, I don't know where these folks got their complaints from, but there was no issue with the staff or the cleanliness of the site when I went there. I rented a 10x20 unit without the help of my husband ( I've never done that before), and Diane really went out of her way to make sure I understood the paperwork I was signing and answered my questions (and there were TONS of them)! If this company had any problems before, they've obviously corrected them because I had a good experience with them.

This storage place actually offered to show me a unit, since I wasn't sure what size I needed. I went to 2 other places in the area and they acted like I was putting them out to basically do their job. I thought the 2 ladies there were nice...no problems

Nice Storage Place
I just wanted to say that this storage place was really nice. I was surprised how clean it was. I went in the office to wait for my friend who rents here and was surprised how big and clean the office was and how nice the people were. I asked for a business card because I am going to need a space soon.
