Chuck Gordon, Co-Founder and CEO

Chuck brings a wealth of IT and creative problem solving experience to Sparefoot. Previously, he worked for multiple Washington DC based technology companies. Chuck graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in Art.

Chuck is a founder of Singapore based Ikatoo, a technology company specializing in virtual world advertising. He is also a semi-professional chef in his spare time and enjoys preparing gourmet feasts for the Sparefoot team.


Mario Feghali, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer

A former scientist in training, Mario now devotes his time to helping others find space through Sparefoot. Before joining Sparefoot, Mario worked as a private tutor and was part of the California Teach Program. He also did research at the UCLA Brain Mapping Center, measuring the size of various neuroanatomical structures. Mario graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology.

After brainstorming some ideas with Chuck about how to make self-storage more accessible, Mario became obsessed with learning about the science of storage space. He now day dreams of ways to make all the unused space in the world easily available to people who need it.


Thor Andersen, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Thor brings over ten years of programming and web development experience to the Sparefoot team, where he leads the development of the Sparefoot website. Throughout his career he has worked as a freelance developer for a wide range of clientele and also as consultant with various entities including UCSC's Faculty Instructional Technology Center.

Thor holds a degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a major in Philosophy and minor in Electronic Music. When he's not building robust web applications, he's busy reading Nietzsche, recording psychedelic pop, cooking health food, and riding his bicycle.


Anna Andersen, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing

Anna Andersen has three years of marketing experience working for Adidas primarily in southern California, but also in different metropolitan areas across the country. Additionally, Anna has experience working at a top political consulting firm in Washington, DC.

Anna graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in communication studies and a minor in political science. At UCLA, she wrote for the Daily Bruin newspaper. Her writing has appeared in Iceland Review and Atlantica periodicals, as well as on IcelandReview.com.


Frank Gordon, Vice President

Frank Gordon is Co-Founder and President of GBI Corporation, a residential and commercial real estate development company in the Washington, DC area. Founded in 1978, GBI has overseen the construction and development of over 1,000 homes and lots, as well as several commercial projects. Mr. Gordon is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of National Cathedral School in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of Amherst College and Georgetown University Law Center.


Daniel Jacobs, Vice President of Engineering

Daniel brings years of software architecture and consulting experience to the SpareFoot development team. He worked previously for a biometric security consulting firm in New York and San Francisco and holds a degree in computer science from MIT. When not behind a keyboard Daniel can usually be found in the water, swimming, surfing or playing water polo.


Matt Hawkins, Vice President of Business Development

Matt Hawkins' extensive e-commerce experience and passion for the application of social commerce technologies and word of mouth best practices aimed at driving a return on investment has led him to work with and drive positive results for the leading online retailers. Matt's deep web analytics background paralleled with his research in consumer psychology has provided him the expertise to lead ROI focused strategic initiatives for clients throughout his career.

Matt's entrepreneurial spirit has keep him close to the start-up world. Matt is currently the VP of Business Development for Sparefoot. He also leads and manages search engine marketing aimed at building a larger and richer online community. Prior to these engagements Matt worked as the Senior Marketing Analyst for social commerce leader Bazaarvoice. Matt holds a bachelors degree in Marketing from the the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business.

When away from the office you'll find Matt playing guitar, watching films and riding his bike around town.
