We treat our customers like the crap they store here
I asked Maria a few questions about the lease, she replied that it was self explanatory, you just come in and sign the lease. I asked if she could match the offer of Public Storage down the street which is running a special, she replied fine you should just go down the street before hanging up on me.
I had the opportunity to listen to both of your calls with Maria on April 12th. Since you were talking on the phone from your car, it was a little difficult to hear you, but she did a great job answering your questions. You asked several times about the 24 hour access, not the lease as was reported in your review. I believe what may have changed your tone, and Maria's, was the focus and questions you seemed to have about the 24 hour access at our location. First off, I will point out you both maintained a great level of professionalism and I thank you for that.
You asked, several times, about how long you could "stay in your unit"; you even cited two and three hours at a time for "organizing" your space. That flagged Maria, as it would have me, with such a small storage space you (5x10) that you inquired about. Security Self Storage takes great pride in delivering a superior product. Part of that product is making sure that tenants do not abuse 24 hour access and use the space for anything other than passive storage, which is what our business license requires. During the first phone call, your line disconnected. I heard Maria ask for a response from you four different times before hanging up the phone. When you called back, you asked her if she hung up on you, and she stated she did not; which again, I can confirm after listening to the call.
From there you asked if Maria could match the $26 total move-in price at another property, which she stated she could not. There is a reason that our property is so highly occupied and respected by our customers. We are not a discount storage provider. We put a lot of money back into the project so our customers do not have to deal with issues with potholes, old doors, bad seals, and other issues that discount storage providers have. After trying to point out the value in our product to you, and you stating "that is a useless benefit", Maria stated that maybe the other storage provider would be better for your needs. We want customers that can see the value in what we provide. I am sorry that we could not articulate better for you the great things that we have to offer our customers. If something does not work out elsewhere, please give us another try.
