All 6' high 1st floor units are located on the "1st Floor Lower Level" and require elevator access. These units are lower priced than "1st Floor Main Level" units.
All 8' high 1st floor units are located on the "1st Floor Main Loading Dock Level" and do not require an elevator. These units are higher priced than "1st Floor Lower Level Units"

We offer "One Stop Shopping" ...a full line of professional grade moving supplies...boxes, tape, bubble wrap, disc locks, at competitive prices.

All Storage Units require a circular Disc Lock. You may provide your own Disc Lock or purchase at time of rental.

All units require insurance. Please provide proof of homeowners/renters/business insurance (name on an existing policy must match storage renters name) or purchase insurance at time of rental.

Daily initial storage space access ends one (1) hour prior to the office closing. Customers already in the facility must completely exit the premises thirty (30) minutes prior to the office closing. NO EXCEPTIONS,

5 STARS .....HUGE STORAGE FOR HALF THE PRICE OF EVERY OTHER STORAGE COMPANY I APPROACHED !!

I have never been so impressed with a storage company and Carrie at Sparefoot who helped me book it , a move is so stressful and expensive and i had approached so many storage companies who had terrible attitudes no customer care , Carrie took all my stress away and i got the storage twice the size of half the price of all over companies i approached, anyone in newyork a 10 x 12 and a 12x 12 is 300- 475 i got a 10 x 20 for $199 a month , its 20 miles to drive in a van that takes 45 mins and you have saved your self $2400 a year , lovely people at the storage company , fantastic and clean and incredible security all i can see is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING and i am a real person not from Spare foot or the storage company writing this review like a lot of these companies pretending they are customers !!! big love jo allen ;-))

Good experience

I justed became the proud tenant of a storage unit at Safe & Secure Self Storage on Lanza Ave this past weekend. Wil made the paperwork process painless and fast and then I moved in. The facility is clean and the elevators are a treat, although a slight pain to have to wait for a while at times. I attempted to walk up and down but was informed that that was not an option. All in all everything good.

How tall are storage units?

Storage units typically have a ceiling height of about eight feet. Special units like "storage lockers" are around five feet or less. Units for vehicle storage will have higher ceilings to accommodate RVs and boats. Call us if you need more help on choosing the best unit size for your car, boat, motorcycle or RV!

Do I need climate-controlled storage?

Climate control is crucial if you live in an extreme climate or a location prone to swings in temperature. Opt for climate control if you're storing items like leather furniture, antique woods, important documents, photos or electronics.

What are the minimum number of months I can rent?

Storage leases are typically month-to-month, so you are not obligated to a set rental length. However, many facilities offer promotions and discounts that require a minimum rental length in order to be redeemed (for example: First month free with two-month minimum). These terms will be detailed above.

Do I need a reservation or can I just walk in and rent a space?

Most facilities welcome walk-ins and don't require a reservation. However, because prices fluctuate often based on demand and availability, we recommend booking beforehand to secure the unit and price before it changes. What is climate control?

Climate control keeps your belongings safe from extreme temperatures and will protect your items from warping, melting and discoloring. Most facilities that offer climate control will maintain your unit between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

How wide are storage unit doors?

There are two types of storage unit doors:

Swing door: A standard room door.
Roll-up door: Rolls up just like the door on your garage.

Roll-up doors are eight to ten feet wide. Note that there are typically six inches on each side between the unit door and the edge of the wall.

What is 24-hour access?

This means you have the ability to access your storage unit whenever you need to, even when the office is closed.

Do storage units have electricity or electrical outlets?

Although electrical outlets are not common for most storage units, some facilities offer them as an amenity for select units. Storage units with electrical outlets will have "Electricity" listed under the "Features / Amenities" section of this page.
