Everything We Own is in a 10 x 10

We are off on a global adventure. We sold about 70% of our stuff and the other 30% needed a storage unit that was secure, clean, and never made us think twice about it being there when we return. We came across E-Commerce and we liked the way it was multi-leveled with offices on the first floor. The facility is really easy to get to and they even let us borrow a truck. Everything we own is in a 10 x 10 and we never really think about it. We don't worry or wonder if it will be there when we return.

Best Storage In Hampton Virginia

Friendly, inviting staff and atmosphere

Meredith was extremely professional and friendly. The paperwork was easy to get done. The storage unit area is clean and the temperature is great (all units temperature-controlled, which I really, really like!) The overall layout of the building is impressively convenient (they even have a 'LOADING DOCK' area to conveniently park and load your stuff onto the pull cart) and the elevator is great. (I could actually get on the elevator with my stuff, instead of putting my stuff on the elevator and having to take stairs to the unit level to meet the elevator.) Everything is in one building, which is awesome. (I didn't have to go to one building to rent a unit and then drive or walk to the unit itself. I also like the security of the building. You have to have a fob key and their camera placements are comforting. I could mention more but I'll close with mentioning that the locks for the units are included. I had to pay about $10 extra for a lock pad, when I used another storage business, before. OH....THE PRICES/DEALS ARE GREAT!!!! THEY HAVE ALL THAT I MENTIONED ABOVE AND THEN GREAT PRICES AND OFFERS TOO! ð

Staff is great with handling business with out of towners!

I honestly was stressed out juggling several commitments and needed storage for my family member. This staff was so good to me and was so patient while I handled the arrangements remotely. What size storage unit do I need?

Click "Learn about unit sizes" (right above the unit sizes) to open the unit size guide and see what fits in each space. When choosing a size, think about how you intend to use the unit: are you trying to cram it as full as possible or do you need extra room inside to move around? Be sure to also leave a clear pathway for easy access to items at the back of the unit.

How tall are storage units?

Storage units typically have a ceiling height of about eight feet. Special units like "storage lockers" are around five feet or less. Units for vehicle storage will have higher ceilings to accommodate RVs and boats. Call us if you need more help on choosing the best unit size for your car, boat, motorcycle or RV!

Do I need climate-controlled storage?

Climate control is crucial if you live in an extreme climate or a location prone to swings in temperature. Opt for climate control if you're storing items like leather furniture, antique woods, important documents, photos or electronics.

What are the minimum number of months I can rent?

Storage leases are typically month-to-month, so you are not obligated to a set rental length. However, many facilities offer promotions and discounts that require a minimum rental length in order to be redeemed (for example: First month free with two-month minimum). These terms will be detailed above.

Do I need a reservation or can I just walk in and rent a space?

Most facilities welcome walk-ins and don't require a reservation. However, because prices fluctuate often based on demand and availability, we recommend booking beforehand to secure the unit and price before it changes. What is climate control?

Climate control keeps your belongings safe from extreme temperatures and will protect your items from warping, melting and discoloring. Most facilities that offer climate control will maintain your unit between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

How wide are storage unit doors?

There are two types of storage unit doors:

Swing door: A standard room door.
Roll-up door: Rolls up just like the door on your garage.

Roll-up doors are eight to ten feet wide. Note that there are typically six inches on each side between the unit door and the edge of the wall.

What is 24-hour access?

This means you have the ability to access your storage unit whenever you need to, even when the office is closed.

Do storage units have electricity or electrical outlets?

Although electrical outlets are not common for most storage units, some facilities offer them as an amenity for select units. Storage units with electrical outlets will have "Electricity" listed under the "Features / Amenities" section of this page.
