good people, super custom tailored service.. i love aron and hallie, you should too....
I contacted The MAMMOTH during an emergency when I needed to move my stuff fast. They were able to accommodate my urgent situation and also helped me by making arrangements for me to deliver my stuff in multiple trips (I had access to a truck at irregular times). Once I dropped off my stuff, they handled the rest. Since moving in during the summer of 2012, I have made a few appointments to access my property. Each time, they are accommodating, friendly and professional. My belongings are secure and I feel confident that they are protected at The MAMMOTH. I would recommend this company to anyone in Louisville. Besides having the cheapest process in town, they really appreciate your business and also do a good job of protecting your property.

Putting my $$ where my mouth is....
I believe in shopping "local" AND storing "local." I like to know that my money is going to support my local community, so nothing makes me feel more "secure" than storing my stuff at The Mammoth.

Hallie and Aron are two of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet.
the storage spaces are in a very interesting and historic building which has some unique interior framework. you can see the massive beam supports which reflect the way building construction was done years ago. it is a treat just walking through this building. I have furniture stored in a 150 square foot space. The price is lower than any other space I could find (and I checked a LOT of places). They outsource their billing to a CPA which is professional, always on time and hassle free. I access my things on occasion, and access is never an issue. I'm pleased with The MAMMOTH and would tell people that the low price is an added bonus!

Recently Took a Tour of the Mammoth
I recently had a tour of the Mammoth and saw so much opportunity to expand a local music business I have been running called Maxwellsounds. It is a really great space with so much potential and I can not wait to get started.

only one issue
I was very happy to find this unique place for my son, but unfortunately he changed his mind due to not having access without an appointment. So it was the "we store" instead of "you store" concept which made him decide against renting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size storage unit do I need?

Hover over the different sizes under the ‘Available Units’ section for this facility to see what fits in each space. When choosing a size, remember to think about how you intend to use the unit. Are you trying to cram it as full as possible, or do you need some extra room inside? We always recommend leaving a pathway for easy access to items at the back of the unit.

How tall are storage units?

Storage units typically have a ceiling height of about eight feet. Special units like “storage lockers” are around five feet or less. Units for vehicle storage will have higher ceilings to accommodate RVs and boats. Call us if you need more help on choosing the best unit size for your car, boat, motorcycle or RV!

Do I need climate-controlled storage?

Climate control is crucial if you live in an extreme climate or a location prone to swings in temperature. Opt for climate control if you’re storing items like leather furniture, antique woods, important documents, photos or electronics.

What are the minimum number of months I can rent?

Storage leases are typically month-to-month, so you are not obligated to a set rental length. However, many facilities offer promotions and discounts that require a minimum rental length in order to be redeemed (for example: First month free with two-month minimum). These terms will be detailed above.

Do I need a reservation or can I just walk in and rent a space?

Most facilities welcome walk-ins and don’t require a reservation. However, because prices fluctuate often based on demand and availability, we recommend booking beforehand to secure the unit and price before it changes. By using SpareFoot you can compare units and prices near you and then book online or by phone for free.

What is climate control?

Climate control keeps your belongings safe from extreme temperatures and will protect your items from warping, melting and discoloring. Most facilities that offer climate control will maintain your unit between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

How wide are storage unit doors?

There are two types of storage unit doors:

  • 1. Swing door: A standard room door.
  • 2. Roll-up door: Rolls up just like the door on your garage.
Roll-up doors are eight to ten feet wide. Note that there are typically six inches on each side between the unit door and the edge of the wall.

What is 24-hour access?

This means you have the ability to access your storage unit whenever you need to—even when the office is closed.

Do storage units have electricity or electrical outlets?

Although electrical outlets are not common for most storage units, some facilities offer them as an amenity for select units. Storage units with electrical outlets will have “Electricity” listed under the “Features / Amenities” section of this page.
