Simple, inexpensive option
My first experience with Red Dot storage was a bit confusing, but the customer service allowed me to get some clarity. I didn't realize just how automated everything was, but knowing that in advance helps customers to be prepared. You check in at a kiosk, getting the lease and unit number there after paying the first month's rent. A gate code is given to you and I didn't know it took 5-10 minutes to work. I was ready to use it right away, and that was a bit frustrating. But after having this explained by a customer service represented, I got in and all went well. I like it, but I think I prefer being able to have a person there to speak with and access when there's an issue.
Nice place with excellent customer service
When I got there, the kiosk was unavailable, but the man on the customer service line was wonderfully helpful and were were able to move in in no time.
Good, inexpensive storage.
Customer service at the kiosk inside was prompt and helpful. Received information and was able to move in immediatey.
Clean, convenient, basic storage
Red Dot is a clean, convenient, basic place to store your items. I like that it is a fenced-in, protected access 24-hour facility. My only complaint was that their wasn't a dolly to move heavy items.
It's OK if the location works for you.
No one on site to help with anything. I had a moving company sitting while we waited for the person ahead of me at the kiosk, who was clueless on what he was doing. When i called to take care of everything in advance i was told i had to do it on site at the kiosk but it should only take about 5 minutes. There is ONE kiosk and the clueless person (who could've used his cell phone to call for help) decided to use the Kodak to call for help. 20 minutes later he was finally helped. His whole process took about 40 minutes, meanwhile I'm paying my moving company to sit and wait for him. When we finally got to the unit it was down a narrow hallway which made unloading a challenge for the 3 men and their large truck. Also, there was a bunch of garbage and misc clothes and totes the previous renter had left behind that we had to clean out.
