Fees for nothing!
When I fell behind more than 28 days they charged me rediculous fees. Now the fees were in the contract but there was one that was not specific. The lock cut fee $20.00 that they charge on the 28th day or so they say. My contract didnt say that! the below is what it did state:
"An Overlock fee of $10.00 will be added 10 days after the due date.
There is a $20 charge to cut a lock. A Lien Fee of $10 will be added 28 days after the due date."
When I bought my account current a few days after the 28th day my lock had not been cut. They said it was out of courtesy that they did not cut the lock.... Well to me its more courteous to charge me the lock cut fee when the lock is actually cut and not just charging because I am late on payment. Knowing most people are not going to let their property be sold at auction, they will pay the fee and continue onward and be glad that they dont have to replace a lock. Perhaps its small but I requested my lock be cut or my money be refunded. The attendant I spoke with would not even entertain the idea of either and hung up on me. The above statement has no mention of not cutting the lock and reimbursement of the fee if they decide not to cut it out of courtesy. Its only $20 bucks but to me its about principle and this is just sketchy.
So dont fall behind, else you will be charged some rediculous fee for a service that they won't perform!
