Nice Facility
I reserved online and then went in to complete everything just as my instructions indicated. I was pleased to see they were open on Sunday to complete the transaction. As we began to sign documents, the rep there handed me an "acceptance" letter for their insurance on the contents of my unit. However, I told her that I wasn't interested and she indicated to me that I had to have coverage on the contents of my unit. I told her I needed to call my husband as we have had several storage units before and was never required to have insurance before. When I told her that my husband said we had not been required to have it in the past, she then told me that I must have misunderstood her and that I wasn't required to have it, that it is just recommended. There was other conversation regarding the insurance, but I ultimately did not purchase it. However, I kind of felt like I was being flim flammed into buying it. It's ok, she was very kind and I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. The other issue....when I went to move in, the facility manager, the same lady, put a lock on my unit and I couldn't move in after I had already paid upfront. She indicated that she put a lock on to prevent others from putting their things in my storage and then forgot to take the lock off before she left. My issue is that I paid for days that I couldn't use my unit. Is that fair??
