Nice people, terrible business
The people here are wonderfully nice. They will help you out in a lot of different ways. That being said, the rest of the experience is awful.
We moved here because my sibling was also storing items, and they had said the office people were very nice. Well, I should have noticed the warning signs from the first day.
I called early to check availability and reserve a unit, and was told that everything was in order. Then moving day came, and we were behind schedule, so I called again. Again, everything seemed in order, and I had someone head over to get paperwork worked out so we could get in. When they arrived, no one had any idea about it, and no effort was done to accommodate us. Eventually, the person we sent over just got the unit for a month for us.
During that month, we got worried. It didn't improve. The keypad seems to have issues on a weekly basis (extremely secure means you can't even get to your own stuff). There are trucks throughout blocking lanes and fire hydrants.
The A/C seems to have issues and our items showed signs of the heat. My sibling (not me), had issues with leaks that ruined furniture, which they won't replace. Get insurance.
Finally, when we moved, the fiasco of possible final payments was ridiculous. The required two-weeks notice is fine, but the lady I spoke to informed me that they only take month payments, and don't refund partial time. i.e. if we hadn't lucked out and moved out when we did (exact month date), we would have paid for an entire extra month. I couldn't find this in the contract, but she has been told she cannot prorate at all. So, be careful about move-out dates and give them AMPLE notice.
So, in the end, if you just want your stuff stored and don't need to ever get anything out, don't mind paying for insurance, and want friendly (if inconsistent) staff, then this is a great place. If so, good luck to you. May your experience be better than mine.
