If you are moving to Houston, you are not alone.
The second biggest metro in Texas grew an astonishing 38.3 percent from 4.7 million people in 2000 to 6.5 million people in 2014, which makes it the second fastest growing metro in the country.
Even more astonishing is how fast Houston’s growth is accelerating. The metro area added more than 156,000 people in 2014. That is 33,000 more than the total number of people the metro added from 2000-2010 combined.
