Either way you look at it, Trump’s win caught both liberals and conservatives by surprise.

Trump won the presidency with 290 electoral votes to Clinton’s 228. But a majority of voters are likely upset by the result, considering Clinton won the popular vote by more than 600,000 votes. That disparity has led many frustrated liberals to consider moving abroad—so many in fact that Canada’s immigration website crashed on election night.

But what if they just moved to a swing state instead?

We looked at the electoral map to find the states where the fewest number of liberal voters could move and have the biggest impact on the 2020 race. We also found the states where Trump supporters might want to relocate to if they are looking to turn even more blue states red.

And if you are looking to move, check out the SpareFoot Moving Guide for your destination city.
