Jenny immigrated to the USA from China when she was six years old, and ended up in Oxford, Mississippi of all places. Oxford was once home to the legendary Southern gothic writer William Faulkner. Jenny would grow to be obsessed with Faulkner, setting her on a path to become an author of her own.
