Some of the people at SpareFoot won’t have much spare time during the upcoming Austin Startup Week.
In the midst of Austin Startup Week, which is Oct. 6-10, a number of SpareFeet will be out and about at various events designed to showcase Austin’s startup community. Here are just some of the places where SpareFeet will be:
- MadeInAustin Career Fair, 3-6 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Mohawk, 912 Red River St. SpareFeet will be on hand to share information about job openings at SpareFoot. To learn more about working at SpareFoot, visit the jobs section of SpareFoot.com.
- ATC Battle of the Austin Tech Bands, 6-10 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Mohawk, 912 Red River St. The SpareFoot Band will be one of 11 bands competing in this annual showdown among musicians from Austin tech companies.
- “SpareFoot: A Capital Factory Hatchling 5 Years Later,” 4-6 p.m. Oct. 8 at CU29, 720 Brazos St. Denny LeCompte, leader of SpareFoot’s Product Team, will trace our journey from a fledging member of the Capital Factory business accelerator in 2009 to a thriving startup with more than 180 employees. Champagne (the official beverage of SpareFoot) and a SpareFoot-themed cocktail will be served. Admission is free, but you must RSVP.
“SpareFoot is a shining example of a startup that has thrived in Austin from conception to now,” said our recruiter, Katie Smith. “During Austin Startup Week, we plan to showcase SpareFoot’s early days at Capital Factory, our growth and development in downtown Austin, and our future plans and goals. We also hope to meet other people who have stories like our own or are interested in the startup scene in Austin.”
