Charlie Marriott

SpareFoot, the largest marketplace for finding and booking self-storage, announced today that Charles Marriott has joined the company in the newly created role of Vice President of Client Services.

Most recently, Marriott was vice president of worldwide client services at Austin, TX-based Bazaarvoice. He brings more than 10 years of experience in client services, operations and public companies.

“SpareFoot is a fast-growing company that is a game changer in the fragmented, continually expanding self-storage market,” Marriott said. “I’m excited about being part of this change and working alongside Chuck and the rest of the SpareFoot team to grow and scale the company even more.”

Marriott joined Bazaarvoice in 2007 and helped the company grow through its IPO in 2012 and several acquisitions. During his tenure at Bazaarvoice, Marriott held many senior leadership positions, with the most recent being vice president of worldwide client services. Previously, Marriott led sales and operations teams at Round Rock, TX-based Dell.

“Charlie brings a wealth of relevant experience and knowledge to our team,” said Chuck Gordon, co-founder and CEO of SpareFoot. “I’m eager to work with him as we continue to improve SpareFoot’s client experience for storage owners and operators.”

Marriott graduated from Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems.

SpareFoot, founded in 2008, employs more than 180 people in Austin.
