The reality TV show “Storage Wars,” filmed in Southern California, has spawned editions in New York and Texas. Now, the cable TV franchise is rolling out a Florida spinoff.

The Palm Beach Post reports that the Florida incarnation will film episodes at storage auctions in three South Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. The show follows bidders who are seeking to score big when they buy auctioned-off storage units.

TV weather anchor-turned-auctioneer Bob Nichols (pictured at top) told the newspaper that he’ll appear on “Storage Wars: Miami,” which is expected to start shooting later this month. Nichols works with West Palm Beach, FL-based Hammer Down Auctions, which specializes in self-storage auctions.

No word yet on when A&E will start airing the South Florida spinoff.
