Self-storage REIT Public Storage has hired Lily Yan Hughes (pictured at top) as its chief legal officer and corporate secretary. She replaces Steven Glick, who had held those positions since 2010.
Hughes comes to the Glendale, CA-based REIT from Ingram Micro, where she was associate general counsel for corporate, M&A and finance, and was assistant corporate secretary. Hughes joined Ingram Micro, a publicly traded electronics and IT distributor, in 1997. Before Ingram Micro, Hughes was a partner at law firm Manatt Phelps & Phillips.
Hughes earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a law degree from UC Berkeley’s law school.
“We are pleased to have Lily join our management team and bring her recognized leadership, broad business knowledge and legal experience to Public Storage,” said Ron Havner, CEO of Public Storage.
