The sellers of a New Mexico self-storage facility plan to use the proceeds to fund the construction of a new high school in Albuquerque. Sandia Skies Self Storage at 6801 Palomas Northeast has 586 units across 74,000 rentable square feet. The seller is a local private organization. The buyer is an institutional group based in the Northeast. The purchase price was not disclosed. Ben Tracy and Simon Assaf of Matthews Real Estate Investment Services arranged the transaction.
Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services pf Florida Inc. announced the sale of All Steel Storage Portfolio, a three-property self-storage portfolio in Winter Haven, Sebring and Lake Placid, all in Florida. Gabriel Coe, Brett R. Hatcher and Nathan Coe had the listing and also found the buyer, an LLC. Ryan Nee, Florida broker of record, helped close the transaction. The facilities have a combined 424 units and 69,415 NRSF, and there’s expansion room at the Sebring and Winter Haven locations.
SkyView Advisors, based in Tampa, FL, helped close the purchase of Harbour View Self Storage at 3101 Bromay St., Chesapeake, VA. The seller was a private owner and it was a REIT acquisition. Brandon Lavern and Aaron Sanchez of SkyView closed the transaction. The 10-building facility has a total of 454 units spread across 72,040 NRSF on 6.55 acres. The MSA has the largest concentration of military personnel outside of the Pentagon.
Spartan Investment Group, based in Golden, CO, purchased Lafayette Parkway Self Storage at 1385 Lafayette Parkway in LaGrange, GA. Its name will change to FreeUp Storage LaGrange under the national banner for its 65-property portfolio, with 14 of them in Georgia.
