Malvern, PA-based CubeSmart LP purchased the 100,000-square-foot facility at 300 Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg, MD for $17 million. The facility (pictured above) was sold by an entity named Travis Avenue Self Storage LLC.

The facility operated under the name Self Storage Zone and opened in 2009.

Other transactions:

  • Austin, TX-based A-A-A Storage acquired Cowboy Storage at 820 NW 27th Street in Moore, OK for $2.13 million. The 42,250-square-foot facility was sold by Cowboy Storage II LLC.
  • West Palm Beach, FL-based Elite Stor Capital Partners purchased the 110,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 137 Imperial Way in Nicholasville, KY for an undisclosed price. The 857-unit facility is 90 percent occupied. The facility will be rebranded Storage Rentals of America. The company owns 26 locations in the region under the name, most of which were acquired in April 2015 for about $35 million. Elite Stor is part of the private equity firm Calidus.

  • San Rafael, CA-based Stor-It-All purchased the 37,584-square-foot self-storage facility at 19784 8th Street East in Sonoma, CA for $3 million. The seller was Deluca E. Gordon 2012 Trust.
  • Hagerstown, MD-based Valley Storage purchased Stow Away Storage in Harrisonburg, VA for an undisclosed price. The facility, located at 4068 Early Road, offers 38,995-square-feet of rental space inside 367 units. The facility will be managed by York, PA-based Storage Asset Management Inc.
  • An unnamed investor based in North Carolina purchased Hoopers Creek Storage, a 20,550-square-foot facility at 615 Mills Gap Rd in Fletcher, NC for $1.3 million. The 153-unit facility opened in 2005. Dale Eisenman of Midcoast Properties represented the seller.
  • Paradise, CA-based Extra Self-Storage purchased the 109,000-square-foot Hub Storage facility at 5724 Chestnut Road in Olivehurst, CA for $2 million. The facility was 50 percent leased at the time of sale. Tom de Jong of Colliers International and a member of Argus Self Storage Sales Network brokered the deal. Extra Self Storage operates 11 facilities in California and Nevada.
