Austin, TX-based World Class Capital Group has purchased a trio of properties in Mississippi.
Uncle Bob’s Self Storage was managing the properties, which will now be rebranded under the Great Value Storage brand.
“This acquisition expands the Great Value Storage brand, and gives us a new footprint in the southeast,” said Nate Paul, president and CEO of World Class.
“We are excited to expand the Great Value Storage platform to service new customers in the state of Mississippi,” Paul said.
The portfolio spans 1,800 units and 238,445-square-feet. The Mississippi facilities are located as follows:

CubeSmart
CubeSmart picked up a pair of properties in the New York City metro area from Atlanta, GA-based Safeguard Self Storage.
CubeSmart purchased the 61,580-square-foot facility at 1170 Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin, NY and the 66,503-square-foot facility at 552 Grand Avenue in Ridgefield, NJ.
Bergen County New Jersey property records show that the Ridgefield facility sold for $13 million. The purchase price for the Baldwin facility could not be determined.
The transaction was arranged by Marcus & Millichap.
Morningstar Properties
Charlotte, NC-based Morningstar Properties, operating as Morningstar Mini-Storage acquired an 85,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Bryan, TX. The facility, built in 2009 and expanded in 2014, adds 580 units to the operators growing portfolio. Located at 2704 Boonville Road, the facility is the operator’s 10th in Texas and 37th overall.
Purchase price was not disclosed.
The former Pensacola Self Storage facility sold for $4.1 million.
Southern Self Storage
Palm Beach Gardens, FL-based Southern Self Storage purchased the former Pensacola Self Storage facility at 9311 Pine Forest Road in Pensacola, FL. The 47,896-square-foot facility offers 434 units. Inside Self Storage reported the purchase price as $4.1 million. The seller was represented by the Mele Group.
U-Haul
U-Haul acquired the 60,690-square-foot self-storage facility at 8415 Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge, LA for $2.4 million. Formerly A Storage For U, the facility was built in 1985 and offers 452 units. The seller was M & MD Group VIII LLC.
U-Haul purchased this Baton Rouge facility for $2.4 million.
LifeStorage
Roseville, CA-based Life Storage recently purchased a duo of properties in Texas. The operator purchased the 123,448-square-foot facility at 14102 Bay Pointe Court in Houston, TX. The operator also bought the 88,839 square-foot facility at 20217 FM 685 in Pflugerville, TX. Purchase price was not disclosed.
Other notable transactions:
- Graham Smith, principal of Arkansas Self Storage Fund III LLLP purchased Wellington Village Self Storage at 800 Wellington Hills Drive in Little Rock, AR for $6 million, according to Arkansas Business. The facility has 611 units.
- A private investor purchased Kings Bay Mini Storage in Saint Marys, GA for $1.2 million. The 49,800-square-foot facility at 135 Industrial Drive has 472 units.
- An Anaheim, CA-based buyer purchased Access Discount Storage at 7590 W. Olive Avenue in Peoria, AZ for $3.9 million. The facility offers 700 units. The Las Vegas, NV-based seller was represented by Rein & Grossoehme Commercial Real Estate.
- An unidentified buyer purchased Around the Clock Storage in Branson, MO for $2.8 million. The facility, located at 1105 E. State Highway 76, offers 66,200-square-foot of storage space. The transaction was brokered by Tony Reid of 76 Realty.
