A Houston-based developer and operator has unveiled its current development pipeline, which will deliver 15 facilities at a cost of $125 million.
The new facilities developed by The Jenkins Organization will add a combined 1.5 million square feet to the company’s existing footprint of 3.5 million square feet.
Fourteen of the facilities are located in Texas, with one in Minnesota.
“While there is a tremendous amount of self storage development throughout Texas, we have worked hard to locate sites with high barriers to entry and excellent demographics,” said Ricky Jenkins, president.
Six of the 15 properties are currently under construction, with the remaining nine scheduled to start within the next six months.
Jenkins, which was founded in 1989, currently operates 45 properties in Texas, Louisiana, Virginia and Minnesota.
