StorageMart purchased the 106,818-square-foot facility at 6 Westgate Drive in Watsonville, CA for $19.35 million. The facility operated as Store More America and was sold by the Meritage Real Estate Development Group. The facility, which offers 918 units, was developed in three phases, with the most recent portion completed in 2014. Bobby Loeffler and Tyler Skelly of the Loeffler Self-Storage Group represented the seller.
Farmington Hills, MI-based Storage Pros Management purchased a 12-property portfolio spanning 575,000 square feet in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Seller information and purchase price was not disclosed. CubeSmart will manage the newly acquired facilities.
Meanwhile, Storage Pros recently sold a handful of properties in Nashville, TN to CubeSmart, including the 69,900-square-foot facility at 2426 Brick Church Pike for $7 million, the 71,100-square-foot facility at 3308 John Mallette Drive for $6.7 million, and the 108,000-square-foot facility at 316 Martingale Drive in Old Hickory, TN for $4.7 million.
Strategic Storage Trust II purchased the 61,200-square-foot self-storage facility at 660 Garden Highway in Sacramento, CA for $8.2 million. The facility was previously managed by National Self Storage Management Inc. The facility is SST II’s first facility in the California capital.
Simply Self Storage purchased a pair of facilities in Tulsa, OK. The company paid $3.3 million for the 81,300-square-foot facility at 705 S. Elgin Avenue and $3 million for the 44,198-square-foot facility at 3210 S. Yale Avenue. The seller was Storage Station of Tulsa LLC.
Boardwalk Storage Friendship LLC purchased the self-storage facility at 2178 Canton Highway in Cumming, GA for $3 million. The seller was Hobby Investments Inc.
Cleveland, OH-based Compass Self Storage acquired its fifth location in the Nashville area—a 98,000-square-foot facility at 1703 Green Lane in Shelbyville, TN. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Santa Monica, CA-based William Warren Group purchased New Haven Self Storage at 140 Ferry Street in New Haven, CT near Yale University. The building covers approximately 207,000-square-feet of space and will now operate at StorQuest Self Storage. Purchase price was unavailable.
The Pegasus Group, operator of Central Self Storage, purchased the 59,000-square-foot facility at 2100 A Street in Antioch, CA for an undisclosed price. The 631-unit facility was previously operated as Storage City. The seller was represented by Performance Storage Group.
