Extra Space Storage purchased the self-storage facility at 2960 Empire Lane in Plymouth, MN for $17.75 million. The 765-unit facility (pictured at top) was developed in 2007 by Lock Up Evergreen Development of Northfield, IL.
A 91,344-square-foot self-storage facility in New Gloucester, ME was sold to an unnamed buyer for $4.77 million. The sale of the 501-unit Hall’s Self Storage facility was arranged by Connie Neville of Sperry Van Ness.
Neville also arranged the sale of Windham & Derry Self Storage, a 22,000-square-foot facility at 230 Rockingham Road in Derry, NH for $5.9 million. Approvals are in place to build an additional 47,800-square-feet of storage space. The first phase was built in 2013. The facility is 100 percent occupied, and also includes a multi-tenant office building on site.
A private investment group purchased two facilities from Storage Concepts. The 290-unit facility at 2673 NY-302 in Middletown, NY sold for $5.3 million. The 200-unit facility at 1524 Route 739 Dingmans Ferry, PA sold for $2.8 million. A third facility is under contact to be sold to the same buyer.
Pogoda Companies, a self-storage brokerage and management company in Farmington Hills, MI, recently reported several transactions:
- Dye Road Storage, located at 3172 South Dye Road in Flint Township, MI as sold to an unnamed buyer. The facility has 434 units and spans 36,040 square feet. It was listed for $900,000
- Listed at $2.5 million, A-1 Westside Storage at 4405 Isabella Road in Midland, MI was sold to an unnamed buyer. The facility spans 37,830 square feet and has 501 units.
- Heritage Movers Self Storage at 2800 Mound Road in Warren, MI was sold to an unnamed buyer. Pogoda was hired to manage the facility, which will be rebranded National Storage Centers. The 21,640-square-foot facility was listed for $1.56 million.
- Access Storage at 3122 Grange Hall Road was sold to an unnamed buyer. The 85,715-square-foot facility will be managed by Pogoda as National Storage Centers.
