Texas-based Self Storage Solutions purchased the former Centurion Storage facility at 2310 North Loop 1604 West in San Antonio, TX at a public auction conducted by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The 113,000-square-foot facility was built in 2007, and later seized by the federal government starting in 2012 in connection with an international money laundering conspiracy case.

Records show that Self Storage Solutions won the auction that took place on October 27 for $11.45 million. The transaction closed in December. The facility now operates under the company’s A3 Storage Center brand. The 968-unit was about 75 percent occupied at the time of sale.

Extra Space Storage purchased the 85,411-square-foot facility at 2150 N. Arizona Avenue in Chandler, AZ for $9.5 million. The seller was locally based Global Chandler 2150 LLC. The facility was formerly operated under the StorQuest Self Storage brand name. The property was converted to self-storage in 2015; it was previously a Target store. It offers 783 climate-controlled units and was 62 percent occupied at time of sale. Paul Boyle, Rick Danis and Greg Wells of Cushman & Wakefield arranged the transaction.

A local investor purchased Allstate Self Storage, the 52,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 7048 N. 43rd Avenue in Glendale, AZ, for $3.3 million. The facility was built in 1977 and offers 674 units. The facility was 80 percent occupied at the time of sale and sold for a cap rate of 5.75 percent. Bill Alter of Rein & Grossoehme.

Maryland-based Store It All Storage purchased the 86,354-square-foot self-storage facility at 11820 Airline Drive in Houston, TX. The 773-unit facility was sold by a San Antonio company. The facility operated under the name Your Storage Place, and was 85% occupied at time of closing. Bill Bellomy, Michael Johnson and John Arnold of Bellomy & Co. represented the buyer. The seller was consulted by Rick Yonis of Sentry Real Estate Group.

An unnamed Blue Island, IL-based company purchased the 71,325-square-foot Advanced Highway 79 Storage facility in Taylor, TX for an undisclosed price. The 555-unit facility was built in 2009. Bellomy & Co. arranged the transaction.

Compass Self Storage purchased the 71,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 8335 Senoia Road in Fairburn, GA. The purchase is the company’s 10th acquisition in the Atlanta metro area. Compass parent company Amsdell Companies said they plan several physical improvements to the Fairburn property, previously operated as Surelock Self Storage.

An unidentified buyer purchased a five property portfolio in Northwest Indiana for an undisclosed price. The portfolio was sold by DCG Enterprises LLC, and operated under the name R&R American ULock. The portfolio spans a total of 164,640 square feet and includes a total of 916 non-climate-controlled units. The sale was arranged by Ryan Clark and Jay Crotty of SkyView Advisors.

StorageMart purchased the 46,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 3434 Harry Langdon Boulevard in Council Bluffs, IA for an undisclosed price. The facility offers 350 units.

An unnamed limited liability company purchased Best Choice Storage, the 38,526-square-foot self-storage facility at 18949 State Highway 155 South in Flint, TX. The facility was built in 2008. Mark Diebold and Jon Danklefs of the Marcus & Millichap San Antonio office arranged the transaction.

An unidentified buyer purchased the 25,400-square-foot self-storage Affordable Self Storage facility at 1016 East Highway 11 in Jefferson City, TN for $1.2 million. The property sold a cap rate of 9.47 percent. Chris Bruce of Coldwell Banker Commercial arranged the deal.
