Malvern, PA-based self-storage REIT CubeSmart bought a recently built self-storage facility in Delray Beach, FL, from Cousins First Storage LLC, an affiliate of Delray Beach-based Kaufman Lynn Construction, for $17.75 million, according to media reports. The 134,460-square-foot, six-story facility sits on a 1.3-acre site (pictured below) at 3195 S. Congress Ave. The facility was built this year, alongside a new headquarters building for Kaufman Lynn.

A self-storage facility in Romeoville, IL (pictured below), changed hands in a $4.4 million deal. The buyer and seller are private investors whose names weren’t disclosed. Space Saver Storage is a 44,000-square-foot facility at 645 S. Weber Road. The facility sits on nearly 5 acres. Sean Delaney and Michael Mele, both of commercial real estate brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap, brokered the deal.

In separate deals, commercial real estate services company Marcus & Millichap handled the sale of two self-storage facilities in neighboring cities in Central Texas:

  • In the first deal, a limited liability company bought Affordable Mini Storage in Harker Heights, TX, from a private investor. Neither the buyer nor the seller was identified. The purchase price wasn’t available. The facility, at 1174 S. • In the second deal, Rancier Mini Storage in Killeen, TX, changed hands between an undisclosed buyer and undisclosed seller. The purchase price wasn’t available. The 46,685-square-foot facility is at 1003 N. 38th St. Danklefs represented the seller of the Killeen facility and secured the buyer.
