Johnny Lisotta of Beaumont started the self-storage chain in the 1970s; he died in 2005. Dave Knobler of Marcus & Millichap’s Houston, TX, office and Charles “Chico” LeClaire of Marcus & Millichap’s Denver, CO, office represented the seller and found the buyer.
An unidentified regional self-storage operator bought Space Shop Self Storage in Roswell, GA, from Atlanta, GA-based Stein Investment Group for $19.35 million. Stein bought the facility in 2015 for $12.85 million. The 1,174-unit property now operates as Midgard Self Storage Roswell. The facility sits on nearly 6 acres at 1240 Alpharetta St. The amount of square footage wasn’t available. Stacey Gorman of Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office represented the seller and found the buyer.
An unidentified California self-storage operator purchased Store-All America RV and Self-Storage in Buckeye, AZ, from Buckeye-based Storage America for $10.755 million. The facility, at 24901 W. Yuma Road, features 107,130 net rentable square feet with 638 drive-up units and 240 outdoor parking spaces for RVs. The 9.1-acre property now operates as Purely Storage. Denise Nunez of NAI Horizon represented the buyer and seller. The deal was executed through a 1031 exchange.
A Chicago, IL-based real estate firm bought Crown Point Self Storage in Crown Point, IN, from an unidentified self-storage operator for $1.8 million. The facility, at 700 Madison St., has 239 units in 28,100 net rentable square feet. The property covers 2.8 acres. St. Charles, IL-based EquiCap Commercial represented the seller and found the buyer.
An unidentified buyer from Minnesota bought Tombstone RV & Mini Storage in Tombstone, AZ, from an unidentified seller for $585,000. The 20,316-square-foot, 338-unit facility sits on a little over 1 acre at 66 S. 11th St. Jeff Gorden and Kyle Topper, both of Phoenix, AZ-based Eagle Commercial Realty Services, represented the buyer. Eagle Commercial Realty Services is an affiliate of the Argus Self Storage Sales Network.
Ladera Ranch, CA-based Strategic Storage Growth Trust Inc., bought Custer Storage & Business Center in McKinney, TX, from an unidentified seller for an undisclosed amount. The 95,000-square-foot facility, at 2280 N. Custer Road, comprises 10 single-story buildings with about 730 units. The facility, built in 2015, sits on 4.1 acres. It now operates under the SmartStop Self Storage brand.
An unidentified buyer purchased Mr. Warehouse in Beaumont, TX, from an unidentified seller. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed. The facility, at 260 Interstate 10 Frontage Road, has 407 units in 89,859 net rentable square feet. The property now operates under the Store Space brand.
