Boulder, CO-based Red Dot Storage purchased a four-facility Attic Storage self-storage portfolio in St. Joseph, MO, from unidentified sellers. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed, although it was above the asking price of $9.85 million. The facilities contain 1,340 units in 204,601 rentable square feet on 14.68 acres. The facilities are at 405 N. Woodbine Road, 3416 Pear St., 3507-10 Pear St. and 3805 Sherman Ave. Larry Goldman, a RE/MAX Best Associates broker in Overland Park, KS, who’s affiliated with the Aurora, CO-based Argus Self Storage Sales Network, represented the sellers.
Wentworth Storage Co., the self-storage division of Phoenix, AZ-based Wentworth Property Co., purchased two Handy Space Mini Storage facilities in San Antonio, TX, from Miller LP for an undisclosed amount. One of the facilities, at 636 SW Loop 410, offers 766 units in 162,288 square feet on a 9-acre site. The other facility, at 9030 Perrin Beitel Road, comprises 788 units in 100,622 square feet on a 4.9-acre site. The two facilities are being rebranded under the management of Irvine, CA-based US Storage Centers. Nick Walker of CBRE in Ontario, CA, brokered the deal.
Norfolk, VA-based Cohen Investment Group LLC purchased two Airport Mini Storage self-storage facilities in Garden City, GA, from an unidentified seller for an undisclosed amount. The two facilities feature a total of 472 units in 108,440 square feet. The facilities, at 1333 Lynah Ave. and 520 Bourne Ave., are being rebranded as Storage Depot of Savannah.
Hubbard Storage in Park Rapids, MN, has been sold for $360,000. The buyer was an unidentified local self-storage operator; the identity of the seller wasn’t available. The facility, at 16890 Brandon Drive, offers 33 units in 19,008 rentable square feet on a 1.99-acre site. Tom Flannigan and Corly Wilkerson, both of KW Commercial Minneapolis and both affiliated with the Aurora, CO-based Argus Self Storage Sales Network, represented the seller.
Out-of-state investors Scott Meyers and Dr. Dawn Wietfeldt purchased State Self Storage in Toledo, OH, from an unidentified seller through a 1031 exchange. The purchase price wasn’t available; the asking price was $2.3 million. The facility, at 6115 Telegraph Road, contains 392 storage units, including 69 RV parking spaces, in 39,566 net rentable square feet. Jesse Luke of the Self Storage Advisory Group at St. Charles, IL-based EquiCap Commerce represented the buyer. Cordova, TN-based Absolute Storage Management Inc. will operate the property, which had been the site of a lumberyard.
An unidentified buyer in Austin, TX, purchased Texas Bear Creek Storage in New Braunfels, TX, from an unidentified private investor. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed. The facility, at 1936 FM 272, comprises 210 self-storage units and 55 RV/boat parking spaces in 52,050 square feet. The site provides room for expansion. Harry Botkin of HLB Investments LLC in San Antonio, TX, represented the seller. Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson, both of Austin-based Bellomy & Co., represented the buyer.
RW Self Storage in Amarillo, TX, has a new owner. An unidentified buyer purchased the facility from an unidentified local investor for an undisclosed amount. The facility, at 10701-11901 S. Coulter St., offers 150 units in 30,000 net rentable square feet. The new owner plans an expansion at the 3.92-acre site. John Owens and Steve Gooch, both of Lubbock, TX-based KW Commercial Self Storage Advisors, represented the seller and helped find the buyer.
Private investor Ernie Pecoraro purchased Aaron’s Stor-All in Clearwater, FL, from an unidentified seller for an undisclosed amount. The facility, at 2100 Calumet St., features 190 units in 15,000 square feet.
Private investors Leila and Scott Durnford purchased All Star Storage in Greer, SC, from an unidentified buyer for an undisclosed amount. The facility, at 721A S. Main St., offers 385 units in 39,240 square feet. The property now operates under the Store Here brand.
Private investor Armand D’Errico purchased Cartersville Self Storage Center in Cartersville, GA, from an unidentified buyer for an undisclosed amount. The facility, at 269 Cassville Road, contains 110 units in 15,300 square feet. The asking price was $849,000.
