The Storage Doctors – Jarrod Dixon and Steve Bartone – are building a self-storage facility at 3203 Fargo Extension in Ashtabula Township, OH. It will have three structures – one of 4,000 square feet, another of 3,000 square feet and a third one of 2,400 square feet. There will be a total of 100 units, and 30 are ready to be rented. U-Haul will repurpose a former Kmart store at 4 E. Shawnee St. in Muskogee, OK. The company purchased the 89,355-square-foot building last July. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Muskogee will offer about 700 indoor, climate-controlled self-storage units. Source: Markets Insider

U-Haul will soon be presenting a modern self-storage facility in Muskogee, OK thanks to the recent acquisition of a former Kmart at 4 E. Shawnee St.

Dennis and Diane Rex hope to build a self-storage facility on a 4.5-acre parcel they own at 3616 E. Genesee Street Road in Sennett, NY. The project would include 3,000 square feet with 24 units. They will discuss the project at the November meeting of Sennett’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Source:

A $25 million project in New Rochelle, NY, involves demolishing the former Rotanelli plant at 2 Birch St. and putting up a five-story, 152,000-square-foot storage building with 1,182 units. The New Rochelle Industrial Development Agency granted Black Mountain and New Rochelle Birch Development $2.5 million in tax relief, enabling the project to proceed. HFF arranged financing for this CubeSmart facility being developed by Quinlan Development Group in Hillside, NJ.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP arranged $15.65 million in construction financing for the developer, Quinlan Development Group, to build Hillside CubeSmart in Hillside, NJ. The facility will have 1,203 units, with 1,162 of them climate-controlled. It’s located at 591 North Union Ave., right off of the Garden State Parkway. Home Star Storage is building a two-building, 840-unit self-storage facility at 381 Veterans Memorial Highway SW in Mableton, GA. It will have 110,000 square feet and is expected to open May 1, 2019. The company buys empty box stores and warehouses—in this case, former uses included an indoor soccer field, high-end auto sales shop, offices spaces and a church—in emerging markets throughout the nation and converts them into self-storage facilities. Source: Home Star Storage
