Hope Lane Storage is ready to open at 83 Hope Lane in an industrial park in Eastsound, WA, on Orcas Island. Dalgarno Construction built and owns the facility. The first building will be available for rental Dec. 1, the second building on Feb. 1, 2019, and the third building on April 1, 2019.

Mequity Acquisitions LLC plans to redevelop a 105,800-square-foot warehouse into a CubeSmart self-storage facility. It’s located at 2232 Mountain Industrial Blvd. in Tucker, GA, and is part of the Stone Mountain Industrial Park. Ackerman & Co. sold the industrial building for $5.3 million. It will be climate-controlled and is expected to be finished by year-end. Source: REBusiness Online
Mequity also seeks to purchase Hot Skates at 14 Merrick Road in Lynbrook on New York’s Long Island, and plans to convert it into a self-storage facility. The City of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is selling its public works building at 3704 Burns Road for $3.8 million to Stor-All Acquisitions of Deerfield Beach, FL, an affiliate of Stor-All Storage. Stor-All will convert it to self-storage. The city has until July to move out. Source: Palm Beach Post
A West Palm Beach, FL, office building may expand plus add a five-story, 90,000-square-foot self-storage facility called Bee Safe Storage and Wine Cellar next door. The city’s Plans and Plats Review Committee considered an application from TAM-CAT 45th ST LLC on Nov. 14 for the 4-acre location at 2400 Metrocentre Blvd., where a 26,959-square-foot office building now sits. TAM-CAT, managed by Daniel Catalfumo and Richard Tambone, purchased both 2400 and 2410 Metrocenter Blvd. for $15.75 million. TAM-CAT sold the latter in August for $22.3 million. The Vault Self Storage has opened at 144 Rawlinson Road in Rock Hill, SC. Scott Wilson of The Vault Rock Hill LLC is the owner. The facility has 70,275 square feet and 520 units. Absolute Storage Management, based in Memphis, TN, will manage the facility, which is near Carolina Fresh Farms, Old Pointe Elementary School and Rock Hill Aquatics Center.
