A three-facility portfolio of Franklin Self Storage facilities in El Paso, TX, has a new owner.

The buyer, a California-based private equity group, wasn’t identified. John Owens and Steve Gooch of KW Commercial Self Storage Advisors in Lubbock, TX, represented the seller, Franklin Self Storage LLC. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed.

The portfolio comprises 1,769 units in 217,917 net rentable square feet. The buyer also purchased a 3.4-acre tract for future development. The facilities are at 10201 Dyer St., 6950 Helen of Troy Drive and 995 N. Resler Drive.

Extra Space Storage has been tapped to manage the facilities.

Kidder Mathews (Seattle, WA) reports:

The company represented Magnum LP in the $11.5 million sale of Magnum Self Storage in Seattle to Callanan Family Associates LLC in Florida, according to media reports. The property, at 5422 Shilshole Ave. NW, contains 63,240 square feet; the deal included an adjacent parking lot. The unit count wasn’t available. It’s unclear what the new owner plans to do with the property.

The Buffalo News (Buffalo, NY) reports:

Williamsville, NY-based Life Storage paid $1.81 million to buy a self-storage facility in Towanda, NY, from 93 NYRPT LLC, an affiliate of University Park, FL-based Benderson Development Co. The facility, on 1.58 acres at 555 Young St., features 35,690 square feet. The unit count wasn’t available.

Compass Self Storage LLC (Cleveland, OH) reports:

The company, affiliated with the Amsdell group of companies, purchased Shaler Self Storage in Allison Park, PA, from an unidentified seller. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed. The facility, at 422 Elfinwild Road, encompasses more than 37,000 net rentable square feet. The unit count wasn’t provided.
