Compass Self Storage purchased a self-storage center at 25528 Aldine Westfield Road in Spring, TX. Charles LeClaire and Dave Knobler from The LeClair Group of Marcus & Millichap brokered the transaction. It marks Compass’ first location in the Houston market. Amsdell has eight other storage centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Nationwide, it has 100-plus locations. Compass is a member of the Cleveland, OH-based Amsdell family of companies.

JLL negotiated the sale of Atlas Self Storage in Midland, TX. The facility has 116 units spanning 18,120 NRSF and was 95% occupied at the time of sale. On May 25, U-Haul bought a former Space City Self Storage site at 13123 Hiram Clarke Road in Houston, TX. It’s now called U-Haul Moving & Storage of Hiram Clarke and offers 246 climate-controlled units and 150 outdoor drive-up units, totaling 396 units. Source: PR Newswire

Olson Mini Storage, a 9,640-square-foot self-storage facility in Keewatin, MN, has traded hands. The new owner is a local operator with a growing presence in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Alex Ihrke, Matt Haugen and Tom Flannigan of Argus arranged the transaction.
Osceola Self Storage, a 6,864-square-foot facility located in Osceola, IA off of Highway 34, has changed hands. The new owner is an experienced operator who is growing their presence in Iowa.
