Moove In Self Storage purchased a portfolio of three self-storage facilities in Rome, NY. The locations at 101 Park Ave., 1224 Floyd Ave., and at 2016 Bateaux Lane offer a combined 659 drive-up storage units. The company was in part attracted to the area by more than 400 multi-family residences currently under construction.

CBRE arranged the sale of a three property self-storage portfolio located in California and Washington. Catalyst Storage sold the three properties to Westport Properties. Nick Walker and Trevor Roberts of CBRE arranged the sale. The properties are located at 2059 Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa, CA, 1305 N. Gaffey Street in San Pedro, CA, and 8006 NE 72nd Avenue in Vancouver (WA). The portfolio totals 141,165 square-feet and is comprised of 1,484 total units. The average occupancy was approximately 90% at the time of sale.
SmartStop Self Storage REIT Inc., based in Ladera Ranch, CA bought two storage facilities in the New York City region. One is at 1204 Broad St. in Clifton, NJ, and it has 116,100 NRSF as well as a three-story building with a basement and climate-controlled units. It also has a traffic count of approximately 158,800 vehicles daily from State Highway 3 and Broad Street. The second facility is at 591 N. Union in Hillside, NJ. It spans about 111,600 NRSF, and includes a six-story building and a daily traffic count of 202,281. As of Jan. 7, SmartStop has owned or managed portfolio 211 operating properties in 22 states; Washington, D.C. and Canada, with approximately 151,000 units and 16.9 million rentable square feet. Spartan Investment Group raised $100 million in capital in 2024, adding 13 new properties (with 839,859 square feet and 7,446 units). The markets added to its self-storage portfolio include Central Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and the Pacific Northwest.
