Prime Storage Group bought a self-storage facility in Florence, KY with 624 units, marking the operator's 10th transaction in Kentucky.

Prime Storage Group purchased a self-storage facility at 8145 Connector Drive in Florence, KY. The CubeSmart-branded facility has 62,873 square feet of rentable space and 624 units. The deal marks the operator’s 10th transaction in Kentucky. The Storage Acquisition Group represented the buyer with a team that included Bill Sitar, John Cranley, Andrew Burachinsky and Monty Spencer, CEO and president. Ben Sirk of Sirk & Company, based out of Paducah, KY, was broker of record.

Cedar Creek Capital purchased a self-storage facility in Moore, OK. The facility has 60,951 rentable square feet spread across 460 climate-controlled units. Cedar Creek Capital, an investment firm, has storage assets in eight states. Source: News Channel Nebraska

U-Haul bought a former Saunoris garden center at 19600 S. Harlem Ave. near Frankfort, IL. The 6.88-acre property now is called U-Haul Moving & Storage of Frankfort Square. It was sold on June 3. The price was not disclosed, but the property had been listed for $2.5 million. Source: The Reporter 

U-Haul bought the former Able Mini Storage property at 1810 Gervais Court in Maplewood, MN. It’s now called U-Haul Storage of Maplewood, was bought on June 18, and has 1.84 acres of land and 262 units. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Maplewood is less than 1 mile away. CaliberCos Inc. (NASDAQ: CWD) announced the sale of 24-7 Automated Storage, a 348-unit self-storage facility in Casa Grande, AZ, for $4.6 million to SSF MP Investments LLC. In December 2015, two Caliber-sponsored investment funds – Caliber Distressed Real Estate Investment Fund and Caliber Diversified Opportunity Fund II, LP purchased the property. Source: Yahoo! A joint venture of Westport Properties and Heitman purchased a two-property self-storage portfolio in Las Cruces, NM. John Curry Construction and Real Estate sold the self-storage assets, totaling 823 units and 116,458 rentable square feet. The properties are six miles apart along U.S. Route 70 and operate under the A+ Self Storage brand.. Both facilities are about 50 miles north of downtown El Paso, TX.  Source: Multi-Housing News
