Sold! StorageMart expands with Midwest facility acquisitions

StorageMart added two new self-storage properties to its portfolio, including one in its hometown of Columbia, MO. The facility is located at 1500 Creekwood Parkway. It covers 42,200 NRSF, holds 312 units and has car parking.

The other facility is located in Greenwood, IN. It has 238 drive-up units spread across 37,475 square feet at 994 S. State Road 135. StorageMart is the self-storage industry’s largest privately-held self-storage operator.

SmartStop Self Storage REIT Inc. purchased a self-storage facility of approximately 64,700 NRSF in Colorado Springs, CO. It’s located at 3150 Boychuk Ave., about 10 minutes from the city’s airport, within five miles of the Fort Carson U.S. Army Post and Peterson Space Force Base. The facility has 20 single-story buildings with about 450 units. There’s space for 100 parking spaces. The site also features a two-story leasing office and climate-controlled, single-tenant suites. IPC Alternative Real Estate Income Trust Inc., which is a publicly registered perpetual-life NAV entity focused on alternative property sectors, said its operating partnership, IPC Alternative Real Estate Operating Partnership, LP, acquired four properties – two in Montgomery, AL and two others in Atlanta, GA. Together, the self-storage properties total 2,275 storage units, including 1,810 climate-controlled units, covering 250,610 square feet. The LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Lillichap announced the sale of AC Self Storage, a 77,720-square-foot property in Colorado Springs, CO. Adam Schlosser, senior managing director in the firm’s Denver office and Keith Phillips, senior associate in the company’s Encino office, represented the seller, an LLC based in Southern California. Phillps and Schlosser also found the buyer. The project has 16 single-story buildings comprised of 486 non-climate drive-up units, 105 parking spaces and 30 office spaces. Source: Marcus & Millichap
