A new self-storage facility is coming to the site of the former Babies R Us building northwest of Academy Boulevard and Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs, CO. The building will be remodeled into a climate-controlled, interior self-storage facility. Also, new exterior buildings will be constructed to the west.

Self Stor Storage facility at 6005 Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada opens Aug. 14. It has 180,000 square feet spread across 1,200 storage units. It’s designed to serve Brampton, Oakville, Etobicoke and Toronto residents, among others. The company is offering 50% off for three months on all units. Safeguard Self Storage opened a 62,000-gross-square-foot self-storage facility at 9101 County Line Road in Spring Hill, FL, in the Tampa MSA (above). It has 44,000 NRSF for climate-controlled units plus 62 RV and boat parking spaces. The site is Safeguard’s seventh property in the market, with three more in development.
