The Township Board of Adjustment in Brick Township, NJ rejected a plan to build a self-storage facility between two rows of houses at 345 Drum Point Road. It was the third hearing for the application from Del Corp Holdings LLC. The developer seeks to build nine one-story buildings, plus a business office, a second building and to leave an existing one-story residential structure in place. The site, located between Huppert and Leswing Drive, sits on 2.310 acres. Barlo & Governale Associates designed the plan, which included 175 units.

The planning board in Ludlow, MA on June 22 discussed a presentation with Rich Kowalski from JLL Real Estate LLC, Tom Reidy from Bacon Wilson, PC and Lucien DiStefano from Bohler Engineering for a proposed self-storage facility at 590-596 Center St. The proposal includes adding six storage containers in the Agriculture Moderate Density Overlay District. There, self-storage is allowed with Planning Board site plan approval and a special permit. The Planning Board plans to continue the discussion on July 13. Source: The Reminder

Bethel Self Storage Park at 1998 State Route 17B in Monticello, NY has opened. Its units are sized for vehicles, RVs and boats. The company’s marketing is aimed at Callicon, Liberty, Cochecton and Narrowsburgh. Customers can get their vehicles and have access to Lake Superior Park, White Lake and Kauneonga Lake. Stack-N-Stor opened a new storage facility at 690 Mariaville Road in Rotterdam, NY. It contains 608 indoor, climate-controlled and drive-up units. The site is near NY 337, I-890 and I-90. Storage Asset Management, based in York, PA, will manage the business. Source: Storage Asset Management

Storage Sense opened at 1651 Delta Drive in Gastonia, NC. It has just under 80,000 square feet spread across 588 indoor, climate-controlled and drive-up units, plus outdoor parking for vehicles, RVs and boats. The facility is just minutes from Interstate 85 and two miles northwest of the Walmart Supercenter on North Myrtle School Road. Storage Asset Management will manage the facility.
