Sold! U-Haul buys two facilities on Alabama’s Gulf Coast

U-Haul purchased a pair of facilities in Alabama from Wolf Pack Storage. The locations had been U-Haul equipment dealers for more than 20 years.

U-Haul purchased a pair of facilities in Alabama formerly operated as Wolf Pack Storage. The facilities in Robertsdale and Elberta were acquired on Oct. 22. The properties had served as U-Haul dealer locations for more than 20 years. The facility at 20121 Baldwin Beach Express  in Robertsdale encompasses 266,000 square feet across four buildings. U-Haul customers have access to 229 self-storage units and 58 RV/boat/vehicle storage spaces available for rent. The facility at 9901 County Road 83 in Elberta spans 224,000 square feet across 11 buildings. There is a selection of 317 climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled storage units for rent, as well as 95 RV/boat/vehicle storage spaces. Combined, U-Haul acquired 546 storage units and 153 RV/boat/vehicle storage spaces on more than 11 acres. Both locations will continue to serve customers with truck and trailer rentals, boxes, moving supplies and more from their retail showrooms.

NAI Pfefferle has negotiated the sale of a five-property self-storage portfolio in Michigan and Wisconsin. The assets total 355 units across 73,358 square feet. The sales price was undisclosed; the asking price was $3.9 million. Jonathan Glassco of NAI Pfefferle brokered the sale. In Niceville, FL, The Storage Place purchased a self-storage facility at 800 White Point Road at 800 White Point. Absolute Storage Management, with 493 units totaling 65,414 rentable square feet. It will serve Valparaiso, Destin and Niceville and other communities.

Hal H. Tanner III of Midcoast Properties Inc. represented the seller in the sale of Claremont Self Storage at 2991 Centennial Blvd. in Claremont, NC in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It has 822 climate-controlled units plus outdoor boat and RV parking spaces. The site is 10 miles east of Hickory, Inc. Source: Midcoast Properties Inc.

A Cleveland, OH-based national self-storage chain paid $8.6 million for a 350-unit self-storage complex in New Hartford, CT. The former All Star Storage location on 8.9 acres at 195B Main St., sold to an LLC tied to Compass Self Storage. MBR Holdings New Hartford LL sold the New Hartford All Star location to Amsdell Storage Ventures 87 LLC, an affiliate of Cleveland-based Amsdell Cos. The facility includes seven buildings of 4,550 square feet, up to 12,600 square feet. The LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Absolute Self Storage, a 34,980-square-foot facility in Dallas, TX. Dave Knobler and Charles “Chico” LeClaire, both in the Denver, CO office, marketed the site on behalf of the seller, a Nevada-based LLC. They also found the buyer, a New York-based LLC. The property sits on 2.57 acres and has 285 non-climate-controlled, plus 52 outdoor parking spots.
