SmartStop Self Storage bought a two-property self-storage portfolio. Morningstar Storage Portfolio covers 1,033 units spread across 112,707 rentable square feet. Charles LeClaire and Adam Schlosser of the mid-Atlantic Division of the LeClaire Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap brokered the deal on behalf of the seller and found the buyer. Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of Eason Storage, a 229-unit facility in Canton, TX, about 60 miles east of Dallas. The facility was built on 4.7 acres in 2000 and expanded in 2017. It has 39,265 NRSF and is comprised of 20 climate-controlled units, 208 non-climate-controlled units and one rental house. Brandon Cunningham and Brandon Karr of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller and found the buyer.
Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of Premier Storage of Delaware, with 489 units of self-storage property near Columbus, DE. The sales price was not disclosed. The facility has 68,053 square feet. The asset has about 11 acres, with room for more growth. Nathan Coe and Brett Hatcher of Marcus & Millichap represented the undisclosed seller and found the local buyer. The LeClair-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap sold Inez Storage Portfolio, a two-property and 102,610-square-foot storage asset in Inez, TX. Dave Knobler, Mixson Staffel and Charles (Chico) LeClaire marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Mark James. The portfolio is comprised of Inez Storage and Beck Road Storage, with the two locations about 4.5 miles from each other. The properties sit on a combined 11.17 acres of land, and they have 10 single-story buildings with a total of 483 units. The unit mix contains 214 climate-controlled units, 258 drive-up non-climate spaces and 10 covered parking spaces.
