Safeguard Self Storage has purchased a 1,252-unit, 132,000-square-foot facility at 324 Nepperhan Ave. in Yonkers, NY. Safeguard’s presence in Yonkers also includes a soon-to-open location at 390 Riverdale Ave. and another one at 188 S. Broadway. The Nepperhan location is climate-controlled. Safeguard has grown its operations to 80-plus locations in six states.

Wentworth Property Company’s self-storage division closed on its 10th deal since September 2022, purchasing Power Ranch RV and Storage in Mesa, AZ, a 171-767-square-foot facility (below). It has 244 drive-up climate-controlled units plus covered boat/RV storage. Public storage will manage the facility. Wentworth has expanded its portfolio into Texas, California, Arizona, Florida and Georgia.
Versal Partners, based in Austin, TX, announced the sale of Stash N Go Storage at 6204 Oakclaire Drive, also in Austin (below). It has 100 non-climate-controlled units spread across 14,150 square feet in three buildings. The facility was 90% occupied at the time of sale. Source: Versal Partners
Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale of Community Square Storage, a three-story, 53,462-square-foot self-storage facility in Lakeville, MA. Nathan Coe, Brett R. Hatcher and Gabriel Coe had the listing. The seller is an LLC company. Thomas Shihadeh, Massachusetts broker of record, helped close the transaction. The location has 436 climate-controlled units and 60 non-climate-controlled units. The facility was built recently, earning its certificate of occupancy in December 2022, and is leasing up.
