Compass Self Storage has opened a new wine storage cellar at 60 Fredrick Small Road in Jupiter, FL. It has specific humidity levels and a specialty room conditioning system that is supported by a backup generator with a variety of vault sizes. The site also offers drive-up units, indoor climate-controlled units and a variety of unit sizes. Compass is a member of the Amsdell family of companies, based in Cleveland, OH.

City Council members on the Land Use and Zoning Committee passed a rezoning request, 11-8, approving the controversial, 10-story Lofts at Southbank development in Jacksonville, FL. It included self-storage units near San Marco. The project has been proposed for the corner of Hendricks Avenue and Prudential Drive. The project would have about 100 parking spaces, between 550 and 600 storage units, and 100 affordable apartments on the top floors. A mediation agreement did not bind council to any particular decision, but council members defended it, saying the developers should not be punished for working with the community and the city. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Veterans Parkway is scheduled for completion by early 2025.
