StorSafe announced its acquisition of “The Extra Closet” located at 124 Warfield Ave. in Venice, FL. The deal brings the company to a total of 25 locations and over 1.3 million square feet of storage space. StorSafe continues to focus on single story value-add self-storage properties, strengthening its presence in the Midwest and Southeast. The newly acquired site features 13,219 net rentable square feet and houses 401 climate-controlled units. A planned Phase II development aims to add another 27,000 NRSF with the addition of 180 more units.

Michael Morrison of Midcoast Properties Inc. represented the seller in the sale of Philema Self Storage at 1636 Philema Road and 130 Sportsmans Club Drive, which are across the street from each other in Leesburg, GA. Combined, they have 362 climate-controlled and standard units, including parking and retail spaces, with 57,290 square feet on 7.71 acres. A regional buyer made the purchase. Reliant Real Estate Management, which operates under Midgard Self Storage in Roswell, GA, bought StoreEase Capshaw Road at 1301 Capshaw Road, which is 12.5 miles from downtown Huntsville, AL. The site has 59,150 square feet. StoreEase sold the recently completed facility for $5.6 million, according to Madison County records. Adam Schlosser, Charles LeClaire, Ian Lindahl and Eddie Greenhalgh, all of the LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap, represented the seller, along with Eddie Greenhalgh in the Birmingham office. Store Ease operates more than 30 stores. In Huntsville, there are 14,000 homes within three miles and 2,000 additional single-family residences under construction within one mile of the facility. Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Affordable Mini Storage at 1741 W. Market St. in Rockport, TX. It has 63 units spread across three buildings, and sits on 0.42 acres. It was built in 2018. Jon Danklefs, first vice president investments in Marcus & Millichap’s San Antonio, TX office, had the listing. The seller and buyers both are LLCs.
