A chain of self-storage facilities in the Carolinas is getting a high-tech upgrade.

Go Store It has forged a strategic partnership with StoreEase to convert 11 storage facilities to virtually-managed locations. The storage operator will employ StoreEase’s patented Virtual Counter hardware system to deliver onsite customer service. The system allows customers to video interface with remotely-located managers and rent a self-storage unit.

“Walking into a facility equipped with StoreEase’s technology was like stepping into the future of our  industry,” said Beau Agnello Chief Operating Officer at Go Store It. “We’re not just following industry trends; we’re setting them. This isn’t a replacement for personalized service – it’s an upgrade.”

Agnello was hired as chief operating officer this month. Previously he had served as head of operations at the Pogoda Companies and as a divisional vice president at Extra Space Storage. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Go Store It is an affiliate of Madison Capital Group and specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of self-storage assets throughout the United States. As of June 30, 2023, the company has more than 6.5 million square feet of storage space under management and construction.

The conversion of the selected Go Store It locations to virtual operations will take place in November.

According to Josh Boyd, CEO of StoreEase: “Partnering with groups like Go Store It and operators such as  Beau Agnello really affirms the value StoreEase Virtual Technology delivers. StoreEase and our team  of elite engineers are driving industry leading innovation.”
