At first, when I called about my reservation, the woman who answered the phone drilled me with questions. I had a confirmation number and emails stating I had my reservation. This was a total surprise to her. She seemed as though she had no idea I had a reservation. She asked me who I spoke with and if it were her and a barrage of other questions, rapid fire, a bit rude and an offensive tone of voice. It was as if it was my fault I used sparefoot, a partner of theirs—a business choice they chose. She was anything but friendly. She sighed multiple times, during our brief call. I almost gave up the entire transaction, based on her attitude. They hung up with me, stating their 800 number line had static and called me back on a regular phone number. This phone call was more pleasant. It was her husband and he was a lot more understanding of why I was calling. He handled the situation much better than she did. He took my payment, I didn’t even mention the half off first two months I saw as an advertisement, because they were so flustered by my call anyway. We were assigned a unit that had a lock on it and had to call back to get another unit. Cobwebs and debris littered the entire storage unit. Thank goodness our things are in plastic tubs, because there were spiders everywhere. This is my first time renting a storage unit. I hope this isn’t the norm for them. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but recommend if they don’t like using another company for reservations....don’t. As a consumer, we don’t have control over business choices, but if it’s not working, perhaps find a new route.
