Skinner Bros. Realty and The Silverfield Group developed an 82,000-square-foot CubeSmart facility in Wildlight, a master-planned development near Yulee in Nassau County in Florida. CubeSmart, the first self-storage facility in Wildlight, has 550 climate-controlled units on the south side of Florida 200 south of the Publix shopping center on William Burgess Boulevard. Icon Golf Cars and Great Clips also have opened in that development.

Extra Space Storage plans to add a new location in McKinney, TX, at the southeast corner of Bloomdale Road and Custer Road. The new facility would include a four-story, 130,000-square-foot structure plus a single-story 7,200-square-foot building. The site sits on 5.6 acres. About 1,000 storage units with climate-control options are coming to U-Haul Storage of Wurzbach at 9451 Interstate 10 in San Antonio, TX. U-Haul bought the property in 2002. There is a temporary showroom there now, offering storage containers, truck and trailer rentals, moving supplies, towing equipment and more. U-Haul is constructing a multistory building that will include a U-Box warehouse, drive-up storage units and parking spaces for RV, boat and vehicle storage. Source: List Self Storage

Arcland Property Co. opened its first self-storage facility on a 6.8-acre lot at 1049 Baltimore St. in Hanover, PA. Self Storage Plus will manage the 102,580-square-foot site. Another building will be built on the lot and open later this year. The developer garnered an $8.9 million loan from Traditions Bank in 2022. The conversion of a former Weis grocery store, vacant since the early 2000s, will start the project. The Hanover site is Arcland’s 45th property in its Mid-Atlantic portfolio. It has 600 indoor, climate-controlled and drive-up units as well as outdoor parking for vehicle, RV and boat storage. The LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Kangaroo Storage, a two-story, 49,830-square-foot storage facility located in the Fort Pierce Industrial Park, just off River Road and Southern Utah Parkway in St. George, UT (above). Jordan Farrer, vice president of investments in the Salt Lake City office, and Adam Schlosser, senior managing director in the Denver office, represented the seller, a local development group.
