Sold! Andover Properties picks up Florida facility for $6.85 million

Andover Properties, operator of the Storage King USA chain of self-storage facilities, has purchased Barefoot Mini Storage in Micco, FL for $6.85 million. CBRE’s Self Storage Advisory Group represented the seller, a private investor. Nick Waller of CBRE said that they generated 17 offers for the property from interested sellers. The property features 511 self storage units spread across 51,091 net rentable square feet, situated on 5.34 acres of land. The facility is comprised of ground level drive up units, interior climate-controlled units, and outdoor parking, with sizes ranging from 5’x5′ to 40’x50′. The facility recently had an occupancy of 100%.

SkyView Advisors, based in Tampa, FL, announced the sale of Weeki Wachee Storage Center in the Tampa Bay area in southwest Florida. The two-building facility has 42,600 NRSF spread across 429 units and sitting on 3.74 aces. Source: SkyView Advisors

StorSafe Self Storage purchased C&C Mini Storage, a single-story facility built in 1996 and with a presence in the Charlotte MSA (below). Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Lititz Springs Self-Storage, an 80,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 150 Warwick St. in Lititz, PA. Kevin Bledsoe and Matthew Junkin, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s King of Prussia office, had the listing and also found the buyer, Valley Storage. Lititz Springs Self-Storage has been developed in two phases: Phase 1 includes 26,875 NRSF, 31 percent occupied as of June. Phase 2 has been approved and permitted for two buildings that will have a combined 48,000 GSF.

Versal

Versal announced the sale of Highway 36 & Moffat Road Storage in Temple, TX, about 70 miles north of Austin. It has 257 units totaling 81,840 NRSF. Versal’s Bill Bellomy, Michael Johnson, Logan Foster and Hugh Horne represented a private Texas-based seller and they also found the buyer.

Versal also announced the sale of American Self Storage in Albuquerque, NM (above). It has 535 units spread across 61,537 NRSF. Bill Bellomy, Michael Johnson, Logan Foster and Hugh Hewitt represented a private investor in the off-market transaction.
