Opponents spoke up Dec. 12 at the Henrico (VA) Board of Supervisors meeting regarding two proposed self-storage facilities. One proposal comes from the General Land Co. LLC to build a three-story self-service storage facility and retail strip at the southwest intersection of Mountain and Woodman Roads, just off I-295. The other proposal is for a mini-storage facility near the Richmond Airport, and complaints covered such topics as the impact to wildlife, the possible destruction of Civil War-era graves and the danger to children from increased traffic.
