U-Haul purchased two former Freedom Self Storage properties in Pueblo, CO, with one at 469 E. Spalding Ave. in Pueblo West and 827 Village Circle in Pueblo. The former now is called U-Haul Moving & Storage of Pueblo West and the latter is U-Haul Moving and Storage of University Park. U-Haul of Pueblo West has 269 self-storage units and 53 RV, boat and vehicle storage spaces for rent. U-Haul of University Park offers 215 units and 28 vehicle-storage spaces. Plans call for adding U-Box warehouses at both sites. U-Haul of Pueblo West also will offer truck and trailer rentals, boxes and moving supplies, towing equipment and more. In addition, climate-controlled options will be added.

U-Haul bought the Duke Mini Storage facility at 401 Sabrina Drive in East Peoria, IL. It sits on 5.41 aces and its new name is U-Haul Moving & Storage of Morton, located at 1075 W. Gantry secured a $7 million permanent loan to retire construction financing for Epix Storage @ Ann Road, which is a self-storage facility in Las Vegas, NV. It has 681 self-storage units and 46 RV parking spaces at 10490 Hammer Lane. Chris Funai of Gantry’s Las Vegas office represented the borrower, a local real estate developer. Extra Space Storage was the seller. The third party-managed property, at 6045 Fairmont Parkway, has 71,505 square feet spread across 509 units, which include 471 fixed storage units and 38 boat/RV parking spaces.
