Devon Self Storage - 9294 - Bloomington

PHENOMENAL experience! I was local to Bloomington for work and desperately needed a last minute self-serve storage facility, and Devon came through promptly. I was able to secure a unit and entry same day, and had zero issues. Upon turning the unit back over, I unfortunately needed to leave behind some trash to be discarded. The staff took it upon themselves to clear the trash for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. I felt extremely guilty leaving the unit as such, but they assured they had me covered. Very grateful to this folks, and highly recommend!

the units are nice and very secure however I am not pleased with how I had no choice in purchasing a new lock when I had one from last year. I was told to send a request to local to caretaker with picture of my lock and insurance proof and have not heard back or received credit

I've had my new storage unit with them for 3 weeks now, and my gate code still doesn't work. I'm very unhappy with my experience so far. I also have not seen my lock that they make you purchase when renting a storage unit either.

Rented a 10x20 for about 20 minutes. Signed up with the 50% off first month deal, it reflected in the payment until I hit the last screen which doesn't show the total, then my card was charged for the full amount plus admin fee. Contacted chat rep and was told that deal didn't exist. Requested my money back and then was told they could honor the deal. I didn't trust RedDot at that point and decided to go to a storage facility further away.

Red Dot raises rates for existing customers every 6-9 months. I’m paying almost double now what I was a few yrs ago. Now $300/mo for a 10x30 unit, which is top of market. I get it rates for everything go up. The real kicker though— on their website, they’re leasing the same unit at same facility for $206 … $100 less! (Not a promo price). I called customer service and asked why they’d charge a longtime customer $100 more / month than someone new for the exact same thing (again, it’s not a promo price). I would’ve considered canceling my unit and immediately re-signing for new one as it would’ve gotten me the lower $206 price, but customer service was rude and unaccommodating, so I just canceled altogether. Highly recommend STAYING AWAY from Red Dot. They’re unreasonably high and gouge customers.
