Lone Star Boat and RV Storage - Boerne

TLDR: I guess the hours changed from 24 hour access and I got locked in. Had to change my review. When I signed up with the old company, there was 24 hour access. A new management team came in and took over. I think they limited the hours. No signs are posted and I do not believe I signed a new contract. I am guessing they changed the hours. I took a fairly expensive Uber to get to the storage unit to get my vehicle out. The gate code worked when I went in. It did not work when I tried to get out a few minutes later, right around 10 PM. I had to re-park my vehicle and jump the fence. I’m 62 yo. Worried I would break my hip or the gate would start opening and crush me. No emergency number posted. Then I had to order another expensive Uber and waited 50 minutes for it to get out there. Thankfully, I had a fantastic Uber driver, willing to go to the middle of nowhere to get me. Obviously, I am canceling my contract and moving my vehicle. I believe a lawyer would call that constructive kidnapping. I am not a lawyer.

As others have noted, very disappointed this facility has raised our rates twice in less than a year. Our rate is now double the original contract. We moved to the location, despite being remote, for the lower rates. Seems like they bait customers into moving in with low rates. Then progressively hike every few months. This is not the business spirit in Boerne. They were supposedly going to address with our first responder discount, but have now negated that. Happy to change my review if they resolve it. Otherwise we'll likely be looking to move out and will be notifying other potential customers in the community of their bad business practices.

all the facilities were very accommodating. Olivia was extremely nice and helpful and answered all the questions that I had. And they really seal the deal with the goodie bag. I’ll be looking forward to renting with them the future.

The covered storage is good. The access areas need to be graded. Very rough from rain run off. They’ve had plenty of time to perform this as it has been months and nothing changed. I kind of feel like they did the bate and switch. When we first checked into storage for our RV the price was $99. The storage soon filled up. Now they raised the price to $139.

Nice place to keep RV covered for 6 months. Until the new owners came in and decided to increase the price up by $50. I was paying $118 for a covered RV parking spot 10x25. Now its increased to $170! No thanks, I'll be moving my RV to another location.
