Pressured to sign
The unit was NOT actually the size it was labeled as (half a foot on each side. A significant number of sq feet overall. MEASURE YOUR UNIT BEFORE SIGNING). The workers excuse was that the walls were put up roughly and sizes were estimate... PS says the same, but has exact measurements. Uncle Bob does this on purpose so they can have more units to rent out.
It's not that hard to put up walls with good measurements (an inch or two I can understand. 6''+ ... NO)
Finally, when I was reading the contract before signing, the worker told me he would fill in the blanks AFTER I had signed and that I shouldn't read the contract because its all standard (its 1 page as apposed to 3-4 at other places, so no, not standard, and definitely ALWAYS read contracts before signing.) He then threw me out because I insisted on reading the (one page) contract (5-10 minutes at VERY most) and did not let me keep the contract (half filled out with personal information) or the insurance contract (already filled out and signed...).
This of course makes me worry about what would happen to my credit if he submitted the insurance contract without payment (as I did not in fact receive any services or close on a unit)
In summary, this Uncle Bob employee and property builder do not seem to have much regard for the rights of the clients.
